Spencer Nicol Media Project

a) Television show
b) The issue being ridiculed is pirates in Somalia that are attacking, kidnapping and killing innocent people
c) If you watch the full episode one of the scenes Cartman and the pirates try to invade a yacht. This is powerful because it shows the harm the pirates are causing to foreigners. Another powerful scene is when Cartman and his friends walk into the building where they are expecting all the pirates to be (like in the movies with treasure) and they find out they are all poor and have nothing. This scene is important because it shows how bad of shape the country is actually in.
d) Satire is being used in a humorous way to humiliate the Somalian pirates. It is wrong but they get their point across successfully.
e) Ages 15-40
f) It is an effective way to get the message across because it is funny. When something is pointed out in humour, the younger audiences will pay better attention. Therefor they will be more informed.

By the way. I could not put all the scenes I used in the link because they may be to inappropriate for school.
